Ross434
Hi all, I'm still using PSE 10 and somehow, I have no idea how, managed to get my display settings messed up so that all of the text for the program functions and interfaces are at about a 5 pt font, waaaaayyyyy to small to read and work with. And it's just the PSE program, not the computer as a whole, and not the files I'm working with within PSE. I tried looking under preferences, but nothing obvious there to help. Any ideas to point in the right direction to fix it? Thanks and have a blessed day! Mari
Boatlady
In version 12 and 14 probablly yours too. Go to "Edit" then "preference" way a the bottom. In "Genera" you can make lots of changes or just scroll to "type" where you can choose the size you want. Good luck
MariJ
Oh, that must be so frustrating. Hope that debby's suggestion works, let us know.
Ross434
Thanks, but unfortunately no. That just changes the size of the sample fonts. My problem is all the text of the program itself. Things like the menu labels, tools, file names, etc. And it's just in PSE. The rest of the computer functions are a normal, readable, font size. Any other suggestions? teecee
Hi Mari, I was just reading some of the comments here and it sounds like that in PSE 10 there is no way to change the user interface fonts which I think is what you are referring to (menu labels, tools, file names, etc.) I'm thinking if they were normal before and somehow got changed to smaller, then there must be a way. Sorry I'm no help. Maybe someone will come along with some ideas for you. Have you tried resetting preferences? Go to Edit > Preferences > General, click the Reset Preferences on the next launch button. When you restart PSE, all preferences are reset to default settings. If that doesn't work, do you think it would help if you uninstall and re-install PSE?
MariJ
Hi Mari I was just about to suggest what Theresa did - to try resetting your preferences. I've had some strange things happen in my program through the years, without ever knowing how they happened but resetting preferences put everything back to normal. I hope that works for you! April Showers
I read about this on the Adobe forums a while ago, and from what I remember, it is a problem with Windows and high resolution monitors. I didn't see any happy solutions, but it probably depends on your OS.
