changing the colour of strokes in photoshop elements 10

I use the preset effects in PE all the time. Especially the black stroke which is set to 29 pixels. But 98% of the time I want it white. Then I have to press V, select the layer I want changed, right click to edit, and choose the little black box which gives me the option to have any colour I want. Choose white. Save. Save... and it's done. Is there any way to change the preset color on that particular stroke to white?

When you go to select the new stroke color, do you see anywhere on the panel where it says, "Make default," "New Style/Effect," or something similar? In full PS, it is easy to re-set presets and add new styles/configurations by making selections in the panel and then selecting either "Make default" or "New preset." Make default, obviously, changes the default setting for that effect. "New Style/Effect" actually adds that style/effect to your palette, so you can get to it with one click.

HTH!!

Hello JenniferZ and thank you for responding. Unfortunately although I was very excited about the idea, the Elements series does not seem to have that option. I will keep looking for a way to do this, though. Eventually... :>)
