With so many sad and horrific things happening in the world, I sometimes find it hard to stay positive. But one thing that really can change a day, moment or experience is a smile. Whether given, received or even observed on other people, smiles can change moods, situations and your entire day. And, they are so easily shared!

Inspiyr.com says: Studies suggest that smiling, forced or not, can have a positive effect on your mood, decrease stress levels and even make everyone around you feel better. What happy news!

So, today’s challenge is all about smiling. You can scrap a pretty smile; a story, person or photo that made you smile or something you experienced that brought a big grin to your face. :D

In 1976 I gave birth to a son. My life was not suitable for a child so he was given for adoption. Before I met my son or the attorneys I stopped by a small chapel. I yelled at God. You know, cause all of this was his fault, right? I proceeded to the 'lets make a deal' stage. I told Him that I loved my son as much as He loved His son. He eventually got His son back, therefore I wanted my son back. I promised to never have another child. I'd just wait for Him to return this one. 26 years later, God made good on our "deal". Isn't He just the most WONDERFUL ?

 

My son Chris and I were elated. He was adopted by a wonderful family but as with many adoptees, he felt like something was missing. I could go on and on about what an amazing role that genetics play but then I'd have to publish the book. :daisy: I didn't notice until now; I need to add SMILES to my 'list of likeness'. We all 3 laugh....a lot..... yet when it comes to a camera, we act all civil. Pfffft

 

Wanna hear something wicked weird? I haven't spoken to Chris in about 2 months. When this post was started, he started texting me. Freaked me a little, lol.
