I think the problem was that the members gallery (which is just a collection of things in the other galleries) was at the top of the list. You can't upload to that gallery, per se. But when you upload something to one of the other galleries, your post will show up in the members gallery. So - to avoid this confusion in the future - I have moved the member's gallery to the bottom of the list! I'm SO glad that you took the time to post your question. You've helped a lot of people!
