Why is my style B/W when it should be colored, never happened before

Recommended Posts

Hello,

This is the first time this has happened. I have an illustrator image that I placed into a PS file and when I apply any style it's only B&W.  On the original Illustrator Image I can apply the style but not in PS.  Thoughts?  I've restarted the program, started a new file, everything I can think of.  I use PS CC2018.

Thanks, Leslie Ann

There are five color modes in PS.

  1. RGB mode (millions of colors)
  2. CMYK mode (four-printed colors)
  3. Index mode (256 colors)
  4. Grayscale mode (256 grays)
  5. Bitmap mode (2 colors)

Change the color mode of the Illustrator image to RGB.  That should fix things.

Linda to the rescue!  I know there was grayscale and RGB mode and a few times have somehow figured out how to change that but I really had no idea how to do this, thank you!
