I have finally printed out my layouts onto glossy photo paper for the first time (been creating since April) and I am blown away by how great they look. The richness and depth of the papers and elements (since most of my materials are scrapgirls) are amazing.

I am using a package called "Spaark" which is a printable photo album that I found in my local photography store. The pack includes an album cover plus glossy photo paper inserts and software templates to create and print with. The album says its 8.25" by 8.25" (yay perfect size for printing my layouts - I thought), but when I got it home the printable space is more like 7.5" square. I also had to play around with the templates to create a square and it will only import jpegs not psd files, but regardless of all the mucking around I am quite happy with the end product.

The have a webwsite www.spaarkphotoprintables.com if you are interested.

It doesn't print to the edges of the paper so you do have about a centimetre boder of white, but that allows you to turn the pages without touching the print.

Thats great Rachael! Now that you have seen them printed, get ready to be addicted to it, lol!
I always print mine as soon as they are done. (They are usually printing out as I am uploading them here, ;))
Right now, I am out of ink, so I can't print my most recent layout, and it is Torturous! (sp?)
I just love have my layouts printed, and one of the (zillion) great things about digital is that since we print 8x8, the albums are nice and compact and easy to carry around to show off!

Way to go Rachel. I think printing is a absolute must. They're not 'real' until they're printed as far as I'm concerned.
I wrote an article on my blog about printing digi-layouts. I also like to add some 'real' embellishments to the printout to make it more touchy feely.

I used to use the albumns I could purchase locally, but with so many required (kids arriving and leaving) I started ordering the 8 by 8's in bulk. I print my LO's as soon as they are finished. If the kids are watching over my shoulder, they are usually fussing before I can get the last embellishment in place. They absolutely love seeing themselves in the LOs. If they are particularly fond of the LO, they will tell me, "Put this one on the website" meaning SG of course. Running out of ink or photo paper around here is a big no-no. :)

How exciting! I am getting ready to have my first one printed. I don't have a great printer so I am going to have them printed and bound I think. I am getting a sample first so I make sure I position my layouts accordingly!

That is so sweet, Gina. Talk about some great motivation to scrap!
