alsoarty
Beatrice is away on a mini vacation and asked me to post her challenge for her. There are many ways to use a color wheel. A couple of simple ways are to choose analogous (2-5 colors next to one another) or complementary (2 colors opposite one another. Even if you don’t understand, and I certainly don’t, there are scientific reasons why these color combinations are pleasing to us. Your challenge is to scrap using predominantly either complementary or analogous colors from the color wheel. Let us know what you choose. Once your layout is complete post it to the Tuesday challenge gallery here: HERE and come back with a link so we can leave you some love. Orange and blue have always been one of my favorite color combinations. HERE is Bea’s page

Celestine
I know I am a little late to post this, but here is Help From Friends. I used analogous colors of blue and bluish-purple. Other than green shades, I don't often use analogous colors, so I found this a real challenge. Thanks Bea and Andrea!
alsoarty
I realized I had not done my layout for this challenge, and I went to Google and found this explanation: What Is An Analogous Color Scheme? When you’re putting together color scheme, there are plenty of options to choose from. Color schemes can range from two shades to involving five distinct hues. However, the easiest – and most commonly used – schemes have at least three hues. An analogous color scheme involves three colors that are positioned next to each other on the color wheel. While neutrals can be added in as well, two of the shades involved will be a primary color (red, blue, and yellow, for those who need a refresher) and the third will be a mix of the two.
