ValerieT Posted May 1, 2021 Share Posted May 1, 2021 This month's forum game is full of colour. At random times during the month I will add one or more colour swatches to the next post. All you have to do is create as many layouts as you wish with the colour swatches provided. There is no limit to the number of layouts you can create. Each layout you do complete is worth one entry in the prize draw. At the end of the month I will do a random draw and you could win one of three $5 Gift Certificates to use in the Scrap Girls Shop. Only layouts posted in the Hodge Podge Gallery between 1st May 2021 and 11:59 pm ET on 31st May 2021 will count towards the prize draw. You do not have to create a layout for every colour swatch. You can not combine swatches. You can go back and use a previous swatch at any time in the month. You do not have to use them in the order they are revealed. Tracking So I can easily track how many layouts you have completed I will need you to post links to your layouts in just one post. This is how you do it; Reply to this thread with "I'm In!" As you complete a layout, edit the post you created in step one. Add your link to the post and make sure you include the swatch number you used. See post number three for an example. Or just part of them You don't have to use all the colours from the swatch. Just use whatever colours fit your layout and that you like. barbaraj Posted May 5, 2021 Share Posted May 5, 2021 Boy, you're keeping us busy! Love it. I absolutely can not get a good layout from using swatches. After several disasters I have finally found a system. Keep it simple. I start by choosing my favorite element from a kit and highlighting that. Now it's much easier and lots more fun. As for using them, you can save the image and use the colour picker to colour ScrapSimple products. If you are not comfortable using ScrapSimple products, that's fine, so long as you find premade items that are close to the colours in the swatches that's fine. Don't worry about getting items to be exactly the same colour, this is supposed to be fun.
