As I have shared before, one of my favorite places for scrapbook layout inspiration is non-scrapbook related artwork. I look at the colors, the texture, the shapes, the overall design. Below you will find a link to the art I selected for this months Art Inspired Challenge. Take a look at it. What inspiration can you take from it? The challenge is to let this art inspire you in at least one way -- and then use this inspiration in creating a layout or other project (a card, perhaps?). Simply find one ore more parts of it (colors, shapes, textures, style, etc.) to incorporate into your layout or card. I am sharing the artwork with you now so you can get a headstart on the challenge. Feel free to start working on it now, during the crop, or even after. Your goal is to complete the challenge by January 18. I love the rich colors in there (especially the way the brown and the little bit of pink are blended). I'm definitely going to try to make it to the crop. This should be fun! Not being in an orange mood, I went for the circles. So the colors don't really do it for me, but for some reason I am REALLY drawn to circles so I just had to pick this art. It would be fun to have this as a scrapbook paper! I had so much fun -- you all had me really "laughing out loud" -- my daughter was at the computer next to me and kept looking over me to see what I was laughing at. I am also really enjoying all the different ways you have adapted the artwork to your layout! Great work everyone! I decided to play with both the shapes and the colors so I could use my new collections. I mounted the photo's as squares so that the circle theme did not become to overpowering. Hope you like it.
