MelJohnson
Hi everyone. I'm using spray mount on a card project and was wondering if any of you paper crafters have a trade secret for getting the sticky mess off your hands. Is there a better (ie less sticky!) alternative to spray mount for this type of thing? Any advice is appreciated! Melanie
jaxscraps
Sorry about the delay just found the topic.... Are you just sticking pieces together? If you like full coverage like me I use a Xyron. They come in different sizes and will add an even layer of adhesive to the back of paper pieces. Instant stickers, no mess.
Guest AZTechnoScrapper
I'd definately use a Xyron for full coverage, or the tape rollers for "spot sticking." If you have goo-gone or something like that, you should be able to get the sticky stuff off your hands. If you're set on using the spray mount, make sure you use a spray box (even a cardboard box will do) and try using tweezers to pick up and position your piece. Good luck! -K
momentousangel
I love the Xyron. That, tape rollers and acid free glue sticks work well to, .
Guest mommy2twins2
Xyron is my friend! Valarie
DDecker
Xyron user here too. I use Boraxo to get the stickys off my hands. It's a powered, granular cleanser that "scrubs" stuff off.
ginaMO
A good way to get rid of sticky that most people have at home: rubbing alcohol. Works well, inexpensive, most people have it in the medicine chest.
