Acdsee & Moving Around Supplies On My Computer

I know there are a few ACDSee experts here on the boards, so I'm posting this in hopes that one of you can come to my rescue. :)

I recently downloaded the trial of ACDSee and have begun organizing my photos and scrap supplies using this program. I feel like it has a bit of a steep learning curve, but I do think that once it all "clicks," it will be a great and useful tool. I do, however, have a question. At the time that I started organizing everything with ACDSee, I kept all my supplies in one folder called "!DigiSupplies" on my desktop. I found that it was easiest to keep the folder on my desktop for a while, but now I'm trying to clean up my desktop and get rid of the "clutter." I tried moving that scrap supply folder into my "My Documents" folder, but when I did so, it seemed to break my system in ACDSee, and I could no longer access the files through ACDSee.

So, my question is this: Is there an easy way to move my folders around on my actual harddrive without breaking the link between ACDSee? Do I have to move things from within the program? I'm just a bit confused...

Thanks!

Stacie

I don't know if this works in ACDSee or how to actually do it, but I think if you relocate your files through ACDSee, instead of moving them around in Windows, you can rearrange things without breaking the links.

I am sure someone will be along soon to give you better help. Connie seems to be a pretty good ACSee expert around here, so if you PM her, she can probly offer advice. I don't know her exact screenname, though...it might just be "connie"...

Good luck!

Stacie,

Sherri's right. You just need to move the stuff within ACDSee, not through your Windows Explorer browser. :)

I've been working with ACDSee for a little bit now, if you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me!
