Tigerbaby1981
I'm trying to play around with them. I have a background color but I want to color the template a lighter color and add them together.. How do i color the Well Worn Template or even the textured journal templates? Thanks in advance
Guest siraacsa
Hi Jen, I use PSE and I would bring up an adjustment layer and play around with the levels or the lightness slider in the Hue/Saturation adjustment. That should work (I think).
Laurel Lakey
In CS2, what I would do is while the Well-Worn template is selected, go to Edit>Fill and choose a color that is lighter than the base color. (To do this, just use the eyedropper tool to first select the base color itself and then move just a little bit up or to the left so that it's a lighter color but still in the same range.) Then you have the template colored just lighter than the base color and you can move the template layer right onto your base layer. (Hold down the shift key and drag it to place it exactly on the base layer and have it centered.) Sure hope that helps!
Susan Neff
To do what you're talking about, here's what I'd do: I'd lay the Well Worn template on top of a layer filled with my color of choice. Make sure the template layer is selected, then go to Filter>Adjustments>Invert. This will change the template from black pixels to white pixels. Now play with the light mode and opacity of the template layer until you achieve the look you want. Oh, I work in PSE5 - sorry, should have said that first! Have fun! CRS
When I use these, or the well worn brushes, I use the blending modes (dissolve, overlay, screen, etc) and change the opacity to achieve the look I want. I use PSE3.
