mickelle
So... about the mini-tutorials in the newsletter -- you know, the ones on things like using paper templates. They're at the bottom of the newsletter a few times a week. Are they anywhere on the SG University website? If not, I'd love to pay to have access to a special part of the website where they archive all those mini-tutorials, or even just buy a "Mini Tutorials of 2006" CD or download. TIA! I have downloaded a program called PDF995 and I use it to save the tutorials as a PDF file. I have a whole slew of them to refer to located in the same folder as my scrapping stuff. You can get the program at www.pdf995.com. Hope this helps! I assume it is okay to do that? If not PLEASE someone let me know.

kle-Karen
Good question. I have wondered this VERY THING recently. There are so many good tutorials and tips. If I don't use the tip immediately, I feel all this valuable info is going to waste (as I forget it, can't find it, etc) I have saved a few important newsletters, but as you know, those files are so BIG (chock full of such good info!), that they take up a lot of space. I was doing this until I figured something else out --- and it sounds like there is a fix in the works! Thanks so much! Karen
needmath
If you have OneNote or EverNote you can just copy and paste them. I have a tab in my OneNote notebook for tutorials and I copy and paste them there.
Guest spec_ed
It would be great to be able to access the past mini tutorials via SG's website. I've just been printing off the emails and putting them in a binder for later reference. Sure would save on ink and paper! I did try EverNote in the past but have trouble with it. Maybe I was doing something wrong - was getting frustrated so I ended up uninstalling it.
Guest sfcgijill
For me, Evernote was just more trouble than it was worth. Sticky notes and a pencil do great for me. And I have also been printing off the tuts- how old fashioned am I?!?
Guest zachsmommy
YAY about this!!! I hadn't thought of the Evernote angle before...that would certainly work too....
mickelle
The tut from today was just the kind I wish I had the organization to save... I guess that's what you get for being a bit lazy *and* disorganized. Sigh.
KellyChron
Mac has a program called stickies. It's just like a sticky note that you can leave on your screen (I have multiple stickies in several colors). You could cut and paste to this (or notepad in PC) and then use the tip later to see if you like it... Notepad files are WAY smaller than word files. could be helpful. ~Kel
PatBowman
I usually just copy the tutorial and paste it into a word document. I have a folder in my Scrapgirls directory where I save them.

Guest Sharebear57
I use Evernote. Whenever there is something in a newsletter that I want to keep (tutorial, quote, recipe, etc.) I just highlight it and click the "add to Evernote" icon in my browser. Quick and easy and then I always have the info when I want to go back to it later.

So far I've only used it for my own hand typed notes. I think there was a tutorial around here about how to use it, but darned if I can find it! I have been saving to desktop as PDF and searching for the pages to highlight and copy, cumbersome! I'm just new at being on the board and am lovin all the mac info. KellyChron
go to applications and if you are in the icon view, there will be a pad of sticky notes with the title "STICKIES", double click. you can change the color, font, etc... I keep one up all the time for a shopping list and another for important things to remember. You should be able to copy the text. I just tried this and the pictures don't copy Stickies are great though...very useful program. ~Kel

DDecker
Here is the EverNote tutorial. EverNote The University has many of our tutorials in it. I am sure the missing ones will be added soon, it can take a little while for them to be added after they are in the newsletter.

Guest K Scrappy
I'm 99% sure this is okay since I use that same program to do the same thing and I learned about it from the Scrapgirls newsletter and this is what they were suggesting it for. So... about the mini-tutorials in the newsletter -- you know, the ones on things like using paper templates. They're at the bottom of the newsletter a few times a week. Becca
I tried to save a few tutorials from the newsletters as a Word file this morning. But it wasn't working out too well. I have to second the plea for access to these online or another e-book with them in the future.

schmoo
Oh great question. I had been wondering this myself. I had started saving my emails so that I could copy out the tuts when I figured out what I was going to do with them. I downloaded Evernote and have copied the tutorials I want into that. Haven't tried to find anything yet but having loads of fun organising it all. I love to organise ( and yes we spell it organise over here). Love to organise my digital supplies, love it, love it, love it. Sue
