jussie
Hi Everyone I need some help. I would like to erase everything from the backround of a picture except for one object, which I would eventually like to place on a layer by itself so I can add it to a LO. I know you can use the selection and inverse commands but I forgot how to do it. I have Ro's tutorials but if this action is covered i really can't remember or find it. If at all possible I would appreciate an email because I find it difficult to find the response to my posts I'm new to all this LOL

sprinklz
I know we talked about this in the chat, but just in case... Use the polygonal lasso tool or the magic wand to select the object Shift+control+i to reverse the selection (or do select>inverse) then, hit delete. Just a recommendation from personal experience, copy the layer first before you do the selection so you have a backup in case you don't like the way it turns out. HTH! And it was good to talk to you in the chat!
