I just bought the Brushes for Photoshop e-book by Shalae Tippetts and I thought I was understanding it quite well, but then I went to shop in the boutique for some brushes, and found tools. Laurel Lakey Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Mer, if you type in "Brushes" (with a capital B, but without the quotation marks) you should be able to find a ton of brushes that you can use to try out Shalae's eBook with. The difference between brushes and tools is that brushes can be used as stamps, to erase, and to mask. Tools are basically actions that are automated that you can use to add inked edges, drop shadows, paper styles and more to things. If you're going with Shalae's book, then you want brushes, not tools. HTH!! I'm sure there will be someone else along to answer your question better than I can!
