canthelpbutscrap Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 I am brand new to digital scrapbooking and already love the scrapgirls site!! I am wondering if anyone can point me to what tutorial (hopefully with the movies that everyone has been talking about) I should use for Photoshop Elements 5.0? I just got the software today and am anxious to get started. I wasn't sure which tutorial to start with. None specifically say they are for 5.0 except for the one titled "More scrapbooking secrets revealed". Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much and love the site!! It is the starter level tutorials 4.0 is really similar 5.0 (which has a slight difference in the colors and sharper looking icons) so everything you learn in those tutorials should work just fine in 5.0. The biggest difference I know of is what folder your styles get put in, but when you buy the styles there are instructions specifically for 5.0. DDecker Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 I agree that Secrets for PSE4 is the best way to get started. Also if you haven't download the free ebook 15 things you need to know. The next best piece of advice I was given when starting was to just PLAY in the program, don't try to make something right away. Try out each tool to see what it does and how to use it. Its awesome and got me off the ground and running in no time! I have the more secrets for 5.0 in my cart, but I'm just waiting for the right time to buy it. You'll love it!!
