Just wondering if anyone will take a digital layout or are there special places where they might be submitted. I saw that Simply Scrapbooks does an entire digital issue. Are they a good place to send stuff? Should you put "digital" in the subject line?

Hmmmm. Not sure. I have submitted digital for digital calls (MM digital issue soon to be released) and for not specifically digital (although I've yet to get a call). When I send in my layout's description or supply list, it is there that I list 'digital'.

Right now, I have decided to submit only to paying magazines...I mean paying with $$$, not a free issue or product. Not that I am highly-sought-after or anything :P (have only gotten two calls, one paper, one digital, neither out in print yet), it is personal decision I have made.

So, I say...SUBMIT AWAY!!! AWE them with your digital powers!!! (I've been watching The Incredibles...lol) You can't go wrong trying, and you never know what the mags are looking for!!!

Submit away! LOL!

I've been picked up several times by various magazines, and only ONE was for a specifically digital call. Last year two of CKs Hall of Famers were digital, and our very own Tonya won an MM Masters contest Honorable Mention.

I'd try NOT to point out that it's a digital page right off the bat, unless you are answering a call specifically for digital layouts.

Check out www.scrap-source.com for a great, comprehensive, easy list of current calls and electronic submission links.

I just started submitting mine and I've been using ScrapSubmit. I don't necessarily put in there that it's digital, I do list the kit in the pattern paper section as kit by x available at x. I had luck getting picked up CorrespondenceART Magazine. I've also started submitting to the new Digital magazine "Digital Scrapbooking" through their website and got a call on one of my layouts that way.

I'd say submit away!!

You might also want to look a bit further afield. Europe and Australia have scrapbook magazines that might be interested in taking your work too.

I submit to everyone exccept "PaperTrends" because my assumption is (and it may be wrong) that they want only paper pages. I always list that it is digital because to be fair, they should know. If they wanted it in a technique mag and later they ask for my "howto" and were expecting paper directions, it may not work that it's digital (they might be marketing that particular book to a paper-only crowd). I've been picked up by at least one issue of every mag I've submitted to, so I'd say they're all (getting) digital friendly. I use scrapsubmit.com - so convenient! Submit away!

I use scrap submit, too. I always tell in the submission that a LO is digital. and I agree with Tonya about ST.

Do they tell us what the proper size or format to submit to? I never dream to submit one but just in case in the future :-) :-)
