OK...another dumb one...
When you receive info from ScrapSubmit about submissions, do you send them directly to the publication requesting the submission or do you send them to ScrapSubmit? I'm wondering because they never send a contact e-mail address. Are you supposed to look that up on your own?

TIA

When you submit through scrapsubmit.com, they send it on your behalf (so you don't need the addresses). Each box you check tells them who to submit it to...each one gets their own copy of the submission, with their specific call title in the subject line.

edit: Oh, and you don't have a contact addy...if they want you, they'll get hold of YOU...then you'll have a contact from that point on.

But you have to go to the Scrap Submit website to do all of this. That's why there's no contact info in the email you're getting. All the submitting gets done thru the Scrap Submit website, and sent out to the appropriate mag.

I'll add another stupid question to this... do you all use ScrapSubmit or just submit individually to each publication?

I generally read the e-mail "newsletter" alerts from scrapsubmit, and submit to the magazines individually.

www.scrap-source.com is a great tool, too. It lists all the magazine's calls, and has links to electronic submission forms and email addresses.

I pretty much just use Scrap Submit. I like that I can submit something to a bunch of different mags, all at the same time.

There are some mags that don't use Scrap Submit, I'm thinking mostly card/stamping mags. But the big scrapping ones are there.
