Malzie
Can someone please tell me if there is a shortcut key to the following..... I have placed a button on my page with a "x" thread on top of it. How can I adhere the thread to the button so that when I move the button the thread will go with it ??????
Guest Sharebear57
Malzie...ctrl+click both layers in the layers palette (so they are both highlighted) and then click the little chain icon at the top of the Layers Palette. That should link them so they move together, but can still be separated at any time. (by highlighting them and clicking the chain icon again.) Guest Sharebear57
If you want to merge them permanatly (so that they are one single layer, instead of two seperate layers) ctrl+click them so they are both highlighted, then right click and choose "merge layers". (There is a keyboard shortcut for that action, but I do not know it offhand...) If you do this, though, you will not be able to seperate the layers later if you need to edit only one. HTH! Thanks again I was just going to post this question~~I have lots of buttons that aren"t threaded and I want them to be. How did you make the thread? Guest Mandiannie
I just use the brush tool and then make an x with it. It doesn't have to be perfect. I also use the text box and then type and x and change the font to get the right "type" of effect for the sewing or thread. By resizing you can get it just the size you want and the different fonts make for great variations.
