About Me

Scrap Girls' Digital Scrapbooking Team Member Elisha Barnett
Digital Scrapbook Layout Artist

Elisha and her family live in Reading, Pennsylvania. She and her husband Steve have two children: Andrew, age 22, and Katie, age 20, and a 10-year-old Springer Spaniel named Bullet. Elisha serves part-time as administrative assistant to a pastor at a local church, at her own home congregation in committee work and teaching, and in the community, helping to organize semi-annual spiritual renewal weekend retreats.

Elisha has been exploring her creative and artistic side through crafts ever since she can remember. As a child, she sewed and crocheted clothes for her dolls, embroidered, and cross-stitched. After becoming a wife and mother, she continued to sew for herself and her children, experimented with oil painting, and taught herself to knit and bead. When she began scrapbooking, it was in conjunction with her new love – the computer. She created her own titles and stickers using her computer, and was always on the lookout for journaling fonts. But when she and her family moved from Memphis, Tennessee to Reading in 2006, all that paper and adhesive got packed up in a box and set aside.

In 2007, she felt the call to create a scrapbook-style prayer journal, but before unpacking all of her old papers, she looked on the Internet to see what kind of faith-oriented supplies she could find. That search led her directly to Scrap Girls. She dug out an old copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements, read the free tutorials in the Scrap Girls University, and got right to work. She hasn't stopped since!

Elisha is thrilled and honored to be working with the Digital Scrapbook Layout Artist Team at Scrap Girls. She hopes to inspire others as she was inspired by this wonderfully talented, caring community.

Thanks so much, Elisha! Also, I am so glad you noticed the extra frame and also the added touch of blue for the flow, which was my exact "intent." And, for some reason one of my stitches "re-stitched" itself on top of the ribbon, which I have corrected. Sewing gremlins, I guess. Such a fun club!! Thanks again!

Thanks for your kind comments on my Christmas card. I was worried for a second about the pop of blue comment, I thought my background was peeking through somewhere. Hope you and yours have a blessed Christmas. I loved the little lamb layout.

Love your new Silent Night products and the gorgeous LO’s you did to show them in use. I have your Silent Night brush set but haven’t used it yet. Now you’ve given me some lovely ideas for Christmas layouts!
