I have just spent over a week dealing with keyboard issues. The first one I purchased was not wireless, it was a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard that had a scroll bar in the middle of the keys which I thought might be useful while doing LO's. I took that one back because the keys, especially the space bar was difficult to work with and I ended up with words not spaced. I also found that using it for short cuts was not as conducive in working in PSE, either. I switched that one out for a Microsoft wireless 6000 v3.0. I was excited to get this one set up but, the first thing I noticed was that two keys were off when I opened the box. I put them back on but one did not function. Since I purchased this in a town about an hour away, I knew I could not turn around and go back right away and decided that the two keys were not necessary to type with and installed the keyboard. Inserted the CD that came with to install and it said it was not compatible with Windows7 64 bit. I went online and found a download that Microsoft said would work for this fix and went ahead and got that taken care of.
The problem now is that after trying two sets of batteries, the battery light comes on for less than a minute and then nothing works. I've reinstalled things a few times now and can't get this keyboard to function. I've read that another item such as a tablet may cause issues but, not sure if that is what it is or if this keyboard simply is not functioning properly since there were a couple of keys off and I can see a couple of marks showing that it has been jarred or something fallen on it.
Sorry for this being so lengthy but, I am searching for answers or possible solutions or advise for a good functioning keyboard, preferable ergonomic in style.
Thanks in advance for your response!
