Keyboards...which One?

27 July 2010 - 05:55 PM

I have just spent over a week dealing with keyboard issues. The first one I purchased was not wireless, it was a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard that had a scroll bar in the middle of the keys which I thought might be useful while doing LO's. I took that one back because the keys, especially the space bar was difficult to work with and I ended up with words not spaced. I also found that using it for short cuts was not as conducive in working in PSE, either. I switched that one out for a Microsoft wireless 6000 v3.0. I was excited to get this one set up but, the first thing I noticed was that two keys were off when I opened the box. I put them back on but one did not function. Since I purchased this in a town about an hour away, I knew I could not turn around and go back right away and decided that the two keys were not necessary to type with and installed the keyboard. Inserted the CD that came with to install and it said it was not compatible with Windows7 64 bit. I went online and found a download that Microsoft said would work for this fix and went ahead and got that taken care of.

The problem now is that after trying two sets of batteries, the battery light comes on for less than a minute and then nothing works. I've reinstalled things a few times now and can't get this keyboard to function. I've read that another item such as a tablet may cause issues but, not sure if that is what it is or if this keyboard simply is not functioning properly since there were a couple of keys off and I can see a couple of marks showing that it has been jarred or something fallen on it.

Sorry for this being so lengthy but, I am searching for answers or possible solutions or advise for a good functioning keyboard, preferable ergonomic in style.

Thanks in advance for your response!

Scrap Simple Pdf/match Color ?

23 June 2010 - 01:25 PM

I have been reading and rereading, looking for tutorials on how to match color as shown in the SS PDF (Adding color to Scrap simple products)and, am just not getting it. It says to go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and for some reason I am doing something way wrong and am not able to bring my program to show that you can take that path. The PDF says it is for Photoshop and Elements so, what am I doing so wrong???

Also, this morning when using my Bamboo tablet, it seemed as if it wanted to work and after shutting down my computer a couple of times and unplugging the tablet many times, nothing seems to be working now. The only thing that has been done differently is that yesterday, my daughter used Skype on my computer but, she said she didn't use the tablet. Could Skype have changed things up? I put in a question with Wacom technical dept. a couple of hours ago, I've heard nothing yet from them.

Thanks to all who can offer suggestions/help! :D

I've been watching the Olympics and see the commercials and LOVE the ice cube graphics. Tried to make one on my own and it isn't too awful bad but, not quite good enough. I would LOVE to have a bunch of them tto, like I see in the ads! My daughter ice skates and I vision using these ice cubes in ice skating LO's with her either standing on them or photos in the cube. KWIM? So which one of you wonderful creative designers can :tinkerbell: throw some fairy dust your way? Did I mention I would LOVE to have a bunch? :please:

Wanted to get this plea in so you all can run and watch the Olympics to see the ice cubes that I NEED!
