I've never downloaded Chinese or Arabic fonts but my computer has them. I think it's actually part of Adobe since the application can be installed in many languages. Just a guess though. -

I'd heard of this happening before. And Adobe is an honest company. I've always bought direct from them. It just hasn't been worth the angst of being ripped off. I'm so sorry that you were Anne-Marie. Don't you just hate not being able to trust everybody. -
In Topic: How Can I Upgrade To Cs6 From Cs5
13 August 2012 - 07:55 AM
I just went to the Adobe Photoshop store. I can download the upgrade from CS5 to CS6 which would take over and hour to upload or I can buy and have the boxed version sent to me both for the upgrade price of $199. They mention setting up the Creative Cloud account - this is what it says:
"Thinking of getting CS6?
Step up to Creative Cloud. Adobe Creative Cloud membership gives you access to Creative Suite tools plus exclusive, immediate access to new features, products, publishing services and more. All at an attractive monthly price."
But it doesn't say you have to do that. Considering that I'm very leery of doing anything in "the cloud", I probably won't get that membership.
So you can upgrade without going into their cloud.

In Topic: Bizarre Photoshop Issue

I've had something similar happen and it's happened as recently as today. I have been working with masks and if I make a change to the size or the rotation and don't go back to the home arrow (the one at the top of the tool bar) but go on to something else, it doesn't take the change. However, if you do go back to the home arrow Photoshop pops up a message and asks if you want to accept the adjustment. Click on yes and everything is hunky dory. That's my take on it.
