  1. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday!!

  2. Thanks Sara! It has been a wonderful day so far. I was just thinking of getting a calendar set for Christmas gifts. Perfect timing. =0)

  3. Happy Birthday to you from all of your Scrap Girl Friends! Sending you wishes for a blessed and wonderful day all day long!

  4. You did a great job-from one new scrapper to another. I have been scrapping on and off for a couple of years, but just joined this site a while back. I just did a winter LO too-I had to laugh I am living in NM (the high this weekend will hit the 90's!) and here I am doing a snowy picture. I was born in Kalamazoo, MI (and lived in Three Rivers through grade school) then back to Kazoo until 1st year of college. Where are you in MI? Again, nice job. You've created a lovely memory! Kelly
  5. Thanks for looking. I am actually working on a similar LO. Same snowy background picture, but my Dad wrote a poem about how when he looks out his window (it is one of those bay windows) and he feels like he is living in a snowglobe. So I am excited to take a stab at that. I think I like to be inside and "appreciate" the snow from a distance.
  6. Thank you-you wouldn't believe how long it took me to finally figure out what I was envisioning for this LO. But I am so pleased with the end result. There are a couple of trial Los that just didn't quite come together. I am slowing learning and my ideas are quicker than my ability at this point. But I am enjoying the trial and error for sure. Thanks for looking! Kelly
  7. HaH, apparently we are late bloomers too-better late than never. Thanks! Kelly
  8. I put this in my album, but thought it was more appropriate here! got to love those sunsets! this LO for my Mom for Mother's day. This is a picture my sister took of a Michigan sunset. The poem is one that my Dad wrote my Mom (they have been married for 40 years!) I wanted to really showcase the beautiful sunset and also the poem. I used PSE 4 the picture is faded with Melissa Renfro's fade layover (not sure if I'm saying that right) the stamp embellishment is Melissa Renfro's downtown "path" the blue page is from Laura's Pocket by Debbie Fisher Here's the poem: Long ago I wanted you to be different until I fell in love with who you were by Robert J. Roche

This is sooooo beautiful! I was scrolling the recent LOs and I had to take a closer look at this one. Where is it? I love the colors; they are so rich. Kelly
  10. Thanks Kelsey-I thought that might be it. I just read that you are taking a semester off from college. I can imagine your dilemma living overseas and trying to find just the right college. My husband and I minister to college students at the university of New Mexico (so I guess we are partial) and I graduated from the University of Arizona (again partial!) and grew up in a little town in Mic

  11. Hi Kelly! Thank you for your comment. The font on my page is from the Endearing You collection by Thao Cosgrove. I will soon put where I get all of my stuff on my pages, but it is so much that it's hard to keep track! Best Wishes, Kelsey

  12. I love this LO! What did you use for the thread alpha and the buttons? I love that look. BTW, I am no expert, but your sky on the other LO looks great! Nicely done. Kelly
  13. Julie, thank you! Sometimes I am not sure whether things look too simple or symmetrical (lol) it is the "perfectionist" side of me. But I was very pleased with this LO. It will be fun to look back and possibly do a "re-do" or some sort, but for now I love it just as it is.
  14. Thank you-it is hard to take a "bad" scenery picture in CO!
  15. Thank you! sometimes I wonder if I need to think more outside the box so to speak. I am one of those people who like balance. I really felt inspired to use that verse. The LO was a gift for my sister and she has a lot of things that she is looking forward to this year. I thought this verse might encourage her. Kelly
