annieDL  I had to have my dog Jack put to sleep yesterday. He was my friend & companion for 12 years & I miss him very much. The house is just so empty without him

We've been through this time and again..we've been blessed with furry companions that lived to very old ages. And I still miss each and every one of them. Cry, it helps.

    Hi Annie, It's hard isn't it. The pain and ache eases with time, but the memories are warm and forever. We lost our 21 year old moggie, 10 y.o. lab and 4 y.o. budgie all within a 12 month period about eight years ago and whilst we now have two new gorgeous boys, I still can't help the odd tear that rolls down my face whilst looking at my old friend's photos above my desk here.

    It takes time to mourn and old friend. Yes that is Cali our little Girly Girl...she followed my husband about 2miles when he was walking...We could not find her home so here she is...She steals jewelry and anything with Glitz and makeup brushes and puts them in her stash behind a chair in the family room. She acts like a snotty teenager, complete with talking back.has to have the "Last Word"

    Hey there Annie! I didn't realize you were my neighbour!! :-) (being in Aussie) I have just been over to Sydney to see my DD who lives there with her Aussie husband. Our GD was getting dedicated. We went over to Canberra to see some friends and it snowed while we were there. I couldn't believe I was in Oz and it was snowing!!! Where is Melton? I agree with Sara you LO of your garden was lovely .

    Me too, Annie - but I know if I get started I may be up all night working on a layout - so not sure if I should or not. Funny thing is that I am so wide awake. Still have 45 minutes before I can take my meds again though and likely that will make me sleepy but doesn't KEEP me asleep!
