Carol - I'm not sure what you are referring to with not being able to see the styles until you select one. PSE10 worked the same way as far as I can tell. I had to select the style I wanted to look at and then after I clicked on it the styles themselves would show. Can you unconfuse me?

The more I use PSE11 the more I like it! I was playing with the guided and and quick edits this morning and they seem to work better than in 10 - or is it my imagination? I work in the expert mode almost exclusively and really have to remember the guided edit is there. I like the Lomo effect and the new tilt-shift is pretty cool. The line drawing was nice - actually, I guess I like them all. I love the new lighter interface - that was one of the things I disliked about the older versions when they darkened the interface.

Thanks TeeCee for the tip on customizing the workspace - it helps when I know I want to apply styles to have both windows showing.

Sounds like I'm definitely upgrading doesn't it? lol

I just realized that is next week - forget that momentary insanity! I haven't been on the board much so don't really know what is going on.

Ok, we had so much fun and love doing these meet ups so much we've set a tentative date and place for the next one.

October 4-7, in the St. Louis area. Laura and Tiza co-hosting

The Conda Countdown will be showing up shortly.

Just to be perfectly clear, you do not need to be a midwesterner to attend, its just called the midwest meet up because we meet somewhere in the midwest. LOL Everyone is welcome.

Do I dare try to even think about coming? My mother will be 102 next week and live right next door and her best friend is in Memory Care. Everytime I go away she ends up in the hospital and I'm her only source of care outside the facility. Maybe, maybe I'll start thinking about coming!

I've been playing with PSE11. Love the light interface, but not happy with the styles. You can load one at a time, if they are new styles. Can't figure out how to get all of the styles up like in PSE10. Another thing I don't like is that you can't have your layers and styles open at the same time. We shall see.

Carol, All the styles show up after they are loaded with the drop down menu just like 10. I love, love, love the new interface! I can see without squinting! The fact that you can't have the layers and styles open at the same time isn't an issue for me. It's just a quick click to get on the right layer and then click to styles and apply the style. I personally like having the layers shown down the whole side than the way it was in 10. I had to search for my personal favorite - undo - then found it on the bottom. Right now, I think I'm going for the upgrade - I have some birthday money! I haven't worked with the actions yet but will probably try them today.
