Topics I've Started

  1. Ps Cs6 Exteded Trial

    08 March 2013 - 11:46 PM

I have PS CS6 and somehow an adobe cloud marketing trial of CS6 Extended got added on to my version. That trial ended and now I can't open CS6. I just got done with a chat with Adobe customer service rep....he doesn't know anything about it and I need to check back on Monday. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh! I had plans for some projects tomorrow, including something I need for church Sunday morning. I can live without it, I have CS5 on my desktop and I could download and install CS6 on the desktop, but it irritated the daylights out of me at the close of our "sorry I can't help you" conversation that a canned "we're available 24/7" message came up. I'm going to sleep on it tonight, but i think in the morning I'll uninstall and reinstall and see if that takes care of the problem. Its the principle of it more than the actual problem. It will get worked out and I can work around it. Just had to vent to someone(s) who understand this sort of hassle. Thanks for understanding ears.
  2. Pocket Life

    10 January 2013 - 10:08 AM

    Dear Designers,

I'm interested in your lovely pocket life products, and the templates, but I've started to scrap much more in the 8.5x11 format and would love if you could give us some great products in that size.

    Your fan,
    Sandi
  3. Autobiography

    01 January 2013 - 11:21 AM

Ok, tell me if I'm taking on too big a project, but this idea sort of percolated its way to the surface and I'm considering it, seriously. But in order to do it I would have to drop a lot of smaller projects, fewer challenges, etc.

I want to leave my kids and grandkids a book about me. Sometimes I don't think its until later in our lives that we really appreciate our parents and their lives. I wish I knew more details of my mother's life and she's no longer here to tell her story. I want to tell my kids and grandkids my story, visually as well as with words. I'm thinking of doing a photo book/scrapbook about parts of my life that were important to me. I have a series of letters my mother wrote to me while she was expecting...a treasure and makes me cry every time I look at them. Throw in a couple of baby pics and I've got the start of my book. I don't think I need to do it in chronological order, just do a 2 page layout as pictures or events surface.

I think this will be my 2013 project, with a few current events thrown into the mix. Any ideas or thoughts are really most welcome.
  4. Mountain Lion

    25 July 2012 - 08:50 PM

Just got an email notification about the new Mountain Lion upgrade. Its only $19.99 and the video does show improvements on moving seamlessly between iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac computers. Seems like the messaging and iCloud are the best features. Also, the new MacBook Pro with retina display looks fantastic, but that will have to wait awhile. I'm going to check into Mountain Lion though. If you hear anything or try it, would surely appreciate any feedback on it.
  5. Dvd Won't Eject

    23 May 2012 - 12:45 AM

Ok, Macs aren't perfect. Close but not perfect. I got a 27" iMac, the photographers'/scrappers' dream machine, a few months ago. Love, love, love it. Recently I've moved my exercise area to my home office and have been using my iMac to play my workout videos (I don't have a TV). And the stupid thing won't eject the DVD. Now I'm mad at it. LOL. I've tried all the methods recommended by Apple and a few from other discussions....nada. When I try to eject the disk, it just reopens and I hear the beach body theme again. I've schedule an appointment at my nearest Apple store....3 and a half hours drive from here. And that iMac is a big heavy machine. Good thing I've been doing those workout videos, so I'm strong enough to load it into the car. And I'm very glad I got AppleCare.
