About Me
Thanks for popping by and checking out my profile
I am a 37 year old working mum who is blessed to have 4 amazing wonderful children. Hollie, Kayleigh, Archie and Harley (twin boys). They are my creative inspiration. They remind me on a daily basis of what is truely important in life. My entire scrapbook gallery comprises of mostly them and the love we share. Keeping our life stable and functioning on a daily basis is Emma, my rock. She cares for all of us in a way like no other. When I found her I truely found my soul mate to travel through life. Everything always seems so much more amazing when I share it with her and I am overjoyed that finally we will be able to get married next year.
As if this wasn't enough I am priveledged to be a business woman with a high pressure job I absolutely adore!!! I sell medical devices into the NHS and meet amazing people who make a huge difference on a daily basis. The company I work for has a simple philosophy and that is to strive to make the everyday lives of people with diabetes simpler. Diabetes is a condition which takes a huge amount of management on a daily basis. People have to consider every single thing they eat and drink, calculate the carbohydrate content and then ensure this is covered by sufficient insulin. In practice it takes alot of their time and they don't get a day off. They must measure their blood sugar 5plus times a day and take multiple insulin injections. Simple things like children going out to play ball or an adult wanting to do a bit of gardening take a huge amount of consideration. Have they had enough carbs do they have enough insulin to cover the extra energy requirements. Failure to do so could mean they end up very ill in hospital or at risk of developing long term complications such as blindness or heart disease amongst others. I am priviledged to be able to provide clinicians and patients alike with products which actively make their lives simpler. Allowing them to take control of their diabetes and live life to the fullest rather than let diabetes control them.
Whilst I am so truely blessed to have such an amazing life it can get stressful at times. Juggling so many balls and spinning so many plates on a daily basis is not without problems. Scrapbooking gives me a release from the stress and a place to channel my creative energy. It also gives me much needed "me" time and allows me to freeze huge heart stopping moments that would otherwise be forgotten over time. With each layer I create on the page it also allows me to glue a little bit of my heart for my loved ones to see when I am gone. I started scrapbooking 2 years ago. Like many firstly in paper form but this was just to cumbersome and time consuming. Discovering digital scrapbooking was a revelation. It allows me to easily start, pause and restart work on layouts with no fuss and allows me a huge amount of creative licence.
I discovered Digital Scrapbooking here at ScrapGirls. Over the last year I have also looked at many other sites who to be fair offer great products but I am proud to say that for me ScrapGirls is definately home! Here I have improvied my scrapbooking beyond belief through ScrapGirls wonderful designers, products and combined inspiration. Here, I have made truely wonderful friends. Friends I have never met, nor am likely to because of the thousands of miles between us but true friends who I know I will have for life. When I count my blessings I will always count ScrapGirls twice!
