Gallery Comments

29 August 2014 - 11:47 AM

I just wanted to thank those who take the time to leave comments in the gallery. Their kind words are always encouraging to me and I'm sure they are encouraging to others as well. Since I found Scrap Girls in 2008, I have seen amazing improvement in the abilities of the regular posters here. I think that is directly linked to great products, tutorials, and positive feedback. This is a great place to learn and grow without having to worry about someone being overly critical or mean spirited.

Cc Subscription Running Out

05 July 2014 - 12:34 PM

I got the full Adobe Creative Cloud subscription almost a year ago and just got notice that it will be renewed in August at the non-introductory price. Does anyone know if you can subscribe to the photography package which is Photoshop CC and Lightroom  and also subscribe to the single app of Illustrator CC. The photography package is being offered now for $9.99 a month and the single app cost is 19.99 a month. These are not listed as specials or introductory prices on their website. Those are the only programs I use and those price would keep me in the $30 range that I am paying now instead of the $50 dollar price for everything including apps I never use. I know this seems like a question for Adobe but it doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere on their site and their phone line is only available during the week. I just thought someone here might know. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Silhouette Cameo

02 April 2014 - 09:35 AM

My Silhouette Cameo was delivered yesterday. It's something I've been saving for but I'm still a little uneasy about the expense. So I have 30 days to decide if I'm going to keep it. I have a habit of letting new things sit in their boxes for a while before I get the courage to experiment. My question is, does anyone have it and do you like it? Is there a big learning curve? I have an old Wishblade which is very technical and not user friendly. I liked what it could do but they stopped supporting the software and it is very limited. Any comments are welcome.

Live View Of Brush

28 January 2014 - 02:00 AM

Occasionally, when I choose a brush to use in Photoshop CC it shows up only as a crosshairs and not as the brush itself. I can't tell until I actually use it what the size or positioning is. The brush size is not too large or too small. The only way I can get it to stop doing this is to close the program and restart windows. Does anyone know of a way to reverse this without having to restart my computer?
