This post started almost a month age. I couldn't find the FileSaver script either no matter where I looked or how specific I got in search. That link just brought me to the home page. I think I heard Christy resigned recently so her designs, unfortunately, may no longer be available. Sorry. :monstercry: Judy

In Topic: Using Layer Masks To Create The Illusion Of Layered Items

08 April 2010 - 02:28 PM

Does anyone know if this tutorial Using Layer Masks to Create the Illusion of Layered Items can be applied using Photoshop Elements 5? There must be a way if all the clever scrapbookers out there put their heads together. Thanks

I notice this is your first post so... :welcome2: I think you're talking about the tutorial in todays newsletter, right. That's a great help. And Sarah is right, I use Photoshop Elements, and you just click on the gray/white circle in your layers palate and click on levels (you won't actually make any level adjustments-just click OK) and this creates a mask for your. Or, like Jster025 said, you can download a free LayerMask style for PSE from several websites. I just got one last week. Just google it. Judy

Just wanted to add Welcome to Scrap Girls!
We're so glad you found us!
:)

Well, thank you!!! I think that I am going to like it here!

Welcome Malinda, I'm a fairly new digital scrapper myself. I have been a member of Scrapgirls for a year and a half and have been collecting things but I've just recently had the time to start actually creating LOs. A lot of us are learning along with you. I just started posting a couple of weeks ago and have had many questions myself. People here are so quick and generous with their responses. I've learned so much that I've actually been able to help a couple of newbies myself. :welcome2: Judy

I know most people prefer the post bound books because when open they tend to look better especially if you have a two page LO but I actually love three ring scrapbooks. I don't necessarily scrap in chronological order but I like my books to be and with the rings it is so easy to go anywhere in the book and add another page or move things around. It's an option. Judy
