A week behind on the challenge, but once I start something I need to finish it or it will drive me crazy, and I've been wanting to do this for awhile.
The journaling reads:
"You were looking forward to our yearly summer trip to Bay Beach more than anyone, and when the day finally arrived you were so excited! You got one ride in and were playing on the jungle gym waiting for everyone to meet up when you fell and hit your forehead on a metal pole. The gash was deep and there was a LOT of blood, so we had no choice but to take a trip to the emergency room. You were very brave and I was so proud of you! After the Dr. "glued" the gash, she said it was okay to go back to Bay Beach and try to get a little fun in. Before long you were acting your normal silly self and a good time was had by all!!"
He was right on the borderline of getting stitches or being "glued", our choice, and he was all for the glue since that meant no needles--can't blame him there. I had never heard of this before. The glue and special tape had to come off on its own as the wound grew out and shut. It was about a month and a half before it came off--the day before school pictures!
