There's some fantastic suggestions here ladies, thankyou. I know I have the Brian collection and I will see if I have any of the others. What I'd like is a doodle or hand drawn child sitting cross legged on the floor while lost in a book. Make sense? -

yep I agree, computers can be fantastic when they work the way we want them to and infuriating when they don't.
I restarted the computer and that helped a bit, I can now drag stuff onto my layout but the problem with the lines remains.
For some reason it's as if my transform tool is stuck on but the lines are feint and dotted not as dark as they usually are.
I've tried making minor size and rotation alterations to the embellies and clicking the accept arrow to see if that makes the lines
disappear but it doesn't. Control + D doesn't work. Please Please Please don't say I need to reinstall PS! -

well I've worked out it's not the kit at fault it's my photoshop. I thought I'd ignore the lines on everything and go ahead and make a layout that I'd be happy to throw out if the lines didn't go away when I saved the finished product. but now I can't drag papers or embellies onto the template I'm using (tonight's freebie from Jo) so it must be my PS that's dodgy. It's most vexing!

And then there's program/programme and catalog/catalogue and check/cheque. Not really words we'd use in a layout though lol
