Doing A Non Standard Size Layout

30 March 2017 - 09:30 AM

My S-I-L's mother recently passed away. My S-I-L sent me a text asking me if I would do a layout in honor of her mother. She thought maybe a 8x10 or even a 11x16. She's not familiar with digital scrapbooking other than what see she's me post on instagram. Are these sizes even possible? I know the papers are usually sized 12x12. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. She just asked me this morning and she is still staying with her father so no rush yet. Thanks!

Organizing Digital Photos - finding duplicates

20 February 2017 - 10:06 AM

I've been working on a 10 week digital photo organization challenge that I found on Pinterest. I've been making good progress but have come to a brief stand still. The blogger of the challenge had recommended a free downloadable software that is able to find duplicate photos so that you can delete the copies if you want. The challenge is from 2015 and the software hasn't been update since 2013. After some research I found one the wasn't connected to malware but the free version didn't work with photos. The paid version, "Duplicate Cleaner Pro" does work on digital photos as well as other types of files. I'm debating if I want to spend the $30. Has anyone used this program? What about other programs? I suppose I could go through each file to see if there are duplicates but I think that would take for ever knowing how  disorganized my files were/are.

organizing layouts

13 February 2017 - 10:03 AM

So I'm in the process of organizing my digital photos and slowly making progress. I have my stash pretty much organized the way I like it, though I probably could tweak it here and there. I'm wondering what about organization of my layouts. I currently have them organized by challenges. For example I have a folder for Artist Trading Cards then sub folders for each year and monthly nested in those sub folders. I don't think my psd files are quite as organize (to be told I haven't looked in awhile) So I was wondering how everyone else organizes their finished LOs. Do you keep the psd file with the finished page or do you have separate files for psds and finished los?

Properly sizing realistic embellies

22 June 2016 - 09:18 AM

I am working on a heritage LO using Veronica Spriggs A Spot of Tea Collection. The collection includes things like tea cups, teapot and such. Is there any tricks, hints, tips or tutorial on how to resize these types of embellishments so that they don't look way out of proportion? Shadows too. I use Syndee's Shadow Me Styles but sometimes I'm not sure if it looks right. I guess it's just a matter of eye balling with practice.  Any suggestions, advice, on these or other observances are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You Already Purchased This Product

25 April 2016 - 08:11 PM

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but it does have to do with the boutique. I was browsing through Jennifer Ziegler's store to see what I might want to get since she's the focus designer for this week's challenge. Under several of her products it says You already purchased this product. Now I get that maybe if you received an element or paper from one her collections as a freebie it might say I've already purchased that collection. However, it shows up under close to 20 of her collections. As much as I'd like to I don't own that many of Jennifer's items in my stash. I have maybe 5 things.

So my question (more of a curiosity) is this just a little glitch or should I have a few more of her items in my stash.I lost a bunch of stuff when my EHD got damaged but Angie helped me get those back. (unless it was retired of course). Not a big deal just curious.
