Thank you for all the good links. I was making everything too hard after hours sitting in front of the screen digiscrapping. I was thinking I could turn them into brushes and apply a style or pattern, but they are very large files. Much better solutions here.

Okay, I've kinda got the idea, but is there a way to make the basket more realistic around the edges? I would feather the selection more when I extract the baby to make the edges not so harsh, but the edges in the PNG file are predetermined. I am just playing at this point but want to get better.Attached File  babybasket.jpg (272.92K)

OK, it's me again and I am back with a new computer. Have always been a windows gal until Santa gave me a new Mac. I can't get my clipping of paper over mask to work anymore with the old ctrl+alt+g ......is there a different command for Mac? Working in CS6 now.
After fooling around, I found that right clicking on the top (paper) layer and then choosing "create clipping mask" does the trick. Not being real patient with the learning curve!

The Sparkle Trails are .png files and when I try to use them the sparkles are dark grey. A couple of other threads mention that they might be brushes and maybe the user should apply an action when someone else had the same problem, but they seem to be embellishments. I did read the Fourth of July link and it just mentions what products she used, not how she did it. Anyone out there have an insight? I would love to be able to use them.
