    Do you find that someone is usually missing from your layouts and that someone is you? Join Marilyn (MariJ) and Valerie (ValerieT) at 4:30 p.m. ET for the chat where the focus is YOU. We will talk about why it's hard to put ourselves in our pages and discuss various ways to scrap more about yourself. There will even be a challenge to motivate and give you a push in that direction!

    Your challenge is to create a layout to fit one of these themes:
    • A childhood memory
    • Where you are from
    • An interesting or unusual fact we may not know about you


    Post your completed layout in the National Scrapbook Day - 2013 Gallery and include a link to the layout you changed.

    Those who post their completed layouts in the Scrap Girls National Scrapbook Day Gallery for all 9 of our National Scrapbook Day chats will be entered into a drawing for a $20.00 ScrapGirls Gift Certificate! The challenges for each chat will be posted in the National Scrapbook Day Forum. To enter the drawing, send an email with your 9 layout links to games@scrapgirls.com.   2. Do-Over Challenge 12Pm Et

    Join Valerie (ValerieT) and April (April Showers) at Noon Eastern time for a Do-Over Challenge. Here's your chance to pull out an old or unfinished layout, and re-work it into something new!

    I you would like April to give you some tips on a specific layout, either post a link to it in this thread or post the layout in the National Scrapbook Day - 2013 Gallery (Make sure "Do-Over Chat" is in the title). April will only be able to give tips if you attend the chat.

    Your challenge is a simple one: Re do any layout you have previously posted in the gallery. It can be any layout you choose, on any subject.

    The Boutique Alphabet Game is back! Do you remember playing the game "I am going on a _____ hunt and bringing..." where each player listed items starting with a specific letter? We are playing a similar game on the Scrap Girls Forum during the month of May. Each day except Sundays, a member of the welcoming committee will post a new theme and starting letter in the game thread (in a large purple font). Members then will search the Scrap Girls Boutique for a product that fits the theme and post it in the game thread. Entries are to follow the alphabet starting with the letter posted with the theme each day. Only one product per letter per round will be counted and products may not be used more than once. Collections and their individual parts count as one product. Time stamps will be used to determine credit in the case of duplicate letter or product posts. There is a limit of three game posts per person each day and another player must post before posting again. Member names will be added to a drawing based on the number of qualified product links posted in the thread.

    So why not join the fun for a chance of winning one of five $5.00 Gift Certificates.

    Here is an example of how the game works:


    I'm going on the London Underground and bringing..... starting with A

    The first person starts with A and chooses
    I'm going on the London Underground and bringing.....an apple JIF 6: 12x12 A for Apple, designed by Shalae Tippetts,

    The second person needs something beginning with B and chooses:
    I'm going on the London Underground and bringing.....a bird Birdsong Collection, designed by Angela Blanchard,

    The third person needs something beginning with C and chooses:
    I'm going on the London Underground and bringing.....a cake B. Sweet Cakes Embellishments, designed by Brandy Murry,

    The fourth person continues with D:

    It's Friday again, so it's time for another Scraplift challenge.

    Around this time every month, I am in a state of eager anticipation, waiting for the first to arrive so I can get my sticky mitts on the new Scrap Girls Club Collection. With this in mind I though it would be great to scraplift one of the many layouts members have created with the monthly clubs.

    So your challenge today is to Scraplift a layout from the Scrap Girls Digital Scrapbooking Club Members Gallery.

    Post your completed layouts in the General Message Board Challenges Gallery and post a link back here so we can all LSL on your layout.

    What is scraplifting?? Scraplifting is when you use another person's layout for inspiration. You can choose to imitate their photo placement, color scheme, collections used, overall theme, or whatever appeals to you most. Scraplifting Etiquette

  5. Scraplift Chat And Challenge

    It's Friday, so that means a scraplift challenge, but as it's Mischief Week, we are going to do something a bit different. And we have a chat too.

    Join us in the chat room at 12pm Eastern Time for some fun and mischief, while we talk about Scraplifting and your challenge.

    At the top of every forum page is the green bar. If you click on Gallery, it will take you to the main gallery page. On the green bar again, on the right side, is the search box. In the search box type the word Super or Hero, then hit enter.

    All you have to do is scraplift one of the layouts the search brings up. Have fun.

    Post your layouts in the Mischief Week Gallery.
