I have had that happen several times - I go to Applications->Disk Utility and there is an eject icon there that will get it out. On right hand side, click on the device you want to eject and then click on the eject icon at the top.

I'm looking to buy a DSLR camera for myself for my birthday. I've been doing my homework, but hear so much. Some say buy used, other say buy new. Some say Canon, others say Nikon. I want to be able to take video as well. I'd love to hear your opinions. I'm looking to buy within the next couple days, so I can practice over spring break (I'm a teacher, so I'll have some time off). Please help!!! Also, my kids play sports, so that's a big factor as well.

We are a PENTAX family - husband does photography on the side and only uses PENTAX. Never had any problems with any of our cameras or lenses.

I still haven't fully adapted to Apple and it has been six months, Now we've taken on Mac Lion and PSE 10 within one week of each other. Not sure which is giving me the most trouble. I'm still trying to use my old Bridge with PSE 10 and it crashes on me periodically as it always did. I know Picasa has a good search engine. Ro showed me that at our last 'convention'. But I would have to tag everything that didn't come from SG. If it does use the tags I put into Bridge, it doesn't display them the same way and confuses me. Thank you girls for naming each Scrapgirls file so well.

I cannot turn pages in my Lion Address book. I cannot find the name of the files where items are found in my Finder. I don't know how to install my actions. Always before were they not stored with the styles and accessed in the same way? Does anyone have any good advice for me besides to give it up and get a life? LOL Does anyone have a favorite place to go on the net to find advice. I usually google everything. Sometimes get a good answer, but none to these so far.

I got a new iMac July 2011 but Lion was not on this computer. I could install it (for free) if I wanted too later but almost a year later and I have not done it.

does anyone have a printer they're happy with? i don't need a large format or anything. mostly just wanting to print cards, bookmarks, etc. my Epson is such an ink sucker. it was a freebie with a camera purchase, but on reading reviews i see it's one of the least efficient where ink is concerned. right now i'm paying about $35 for ink every 2-3 months and that's just normal printing, not much graphic stuff at all.

    thanks for any input!

I have a BrotherMFC-295CN and LOVE the prints I get from it. Also have an Epson Artisan 835 I got for $99 on Boxing Day. It is 10 times faster than the Brother and the print quality is awesome. Once I use all the the ink I have for the Brother I am switching to the Epson! I bought the ink just before Christmas and had not idea I would find such an awesome deal on the EPSON - the scanning feature doesn't need software, but the Brother does which always closes on me.

Ink for the Brother is $8.90 for the 4 cartridges, colours and black. For the EPSON it is $17.50 for the 6 cartridges including black.
I get them at TONER ONLINE.CA I do "lots" of printing before I have to change cartridges - for the Brother that is. I have only printed a few pages on the EPSON.
