Topics I've Started

  1. Sheets And Individual Png's

    17 August 2012 - 03:38 PM

When I purchase a collection, and it comes with both sheets of embellishments/alphabets, and individual png's, do I need to keep both the sheets and the individual png's? Is there any advantage to keeping one, the other, or both?

    TIA

  2. Photo Corners

    05 August 2012 - 07:15 PM

I purchased "ScrapSimple Tools - Shapes: Photo Corners" which turned out to be just a set of shapes. How do I turn those flat black shapes into 3d-looking photo corners like it shows in the samples on the product picture? I can play with bevel\emboss\textures\drop shadows\etc. until I figure it out, I guess, but I was hoping it would be a little bit easier.

    TIA

  3. Are Guys Welcome Too?

    03 August 2012 - 05:32 PM

I know the name of the site is "Scrap Girls", but, hopefully, guys are welcome too. (I'm gay, so I really don't mind being "one of the girls" in any event.) Posted Image I am 43, live in Omaha, NE. and am recently married to my partner of five years. He just started taking belly dancing lessons (of all things--I don't understand, but he seems to enjoy it), and I found myself in need of something to do a couple of evenings a week while he is out of the house.

I briefly took up candy making, which is a hobby that makes you very popular among your friends and co-workers, but my doctor objected being of the opinion that I am diabetic. I gave geocaching a brief go, but then realized that I neither enjoy wandering around in parks, nor, in fact, being outdoors at all.

I stumbled across the Scrap Girls site while surfing the web, looking for something else, I don't even remember what. Having a background in both photography and web design, and already owing Photoshop and a Wacom tablet, the start up costs were relatively low, and I thought it sounded like a lot of fun. (I was right.)

I chose for my first project to make a scrapbook for my Mom of photographs that she had taken during a recent trip to Oregon. I have done exactly one page, and am about to start on my second.

    So, Hi.

My grown kids loved Seattle before they got stationed in OK last Spring. Centralia is a nice stop along I-5 to get gas. Currently they are adding a 3rd lane on I-5, finally after 2 decades of putting this off. We are so happy to have summer weather and enjoying the beauty here--of course Seattle is gorgeous on a sunny day with a double shot frapechinno (not sure I spelled that right~!)
