In Topic: Organizer Question

Remember...Organizer holds the LINKS to your photos not the photos themselves. Your photos are not in Organizer itself but on your hard drive where you downloaded them. When I was running PSE on Windows about 3 years ago, I had 55,000 items sorted and organized in my Organizer. I never had any problems and even though it was a lot of files, it never ran slow. I've tried different methods of sorting my digital files and photos and like Organizer the best! -

Thanks for the tip on updates for Organizer. I understand the new 11 version has big changes. I haven't investigated this yet. I'm running PSE on a MacBook Pro so Organizer wasn't even available until v9. That was very unstable but v10 has bee fairly reliable. I do have a number of broken links--I don't know why. But I need to work on these and get everything ship shape before I upgrade. -

I think I'll download the new free trial PSE v11 from Adobe and when Costco puts it on sale in 2 or 3 weeks (at least they did the past 3 years), I'll purchase it for less than $60. Then I just need to put the serial number of the purchased copy in the trial box when it pops up and I'm off and running. I was going to wait and purchase it at Costco, but I did this before and it worked. That way I can get to that lighter background (YEA!) and get used to the new toolbox and palette arrangements. I think I'm going to really like it once the newness wears off. I'm also interested in some of the new "effects" they've added. -

Usually Costco puts the new version on sale in November before Thanksgiving. It's usually $59 or something close. That's when I purchase mine. -

Fooey! I missed this. I'll have to check the Forum a little closer next year! But I'll come back and check out the variety of neat layouts. That's fun, too.
