  1. Celestine has some really good ideas and points. My system is far from perfect, which reflects the complexity of archiving photos from a variety of branches of a family and from a variety of sources. Some of mine are simply named with numbers, some as Celestine has suggested, especially when I know the year. If I at least know the decade, it begins with eg. 1950s_xxx.jpg As far as folders, that's what I rely on when trying to find a particular photo and keep them separated and organized. Each branch of my family tree has a separate folder. Each person for which I have tons of photos has a separate folder, or multiple separate folders. Examples: Cheri childhood, Cheri High School, Cheri 4-H, Mom (I put her name instead of mom so it will make sense to others) childhood, Mills family, Chester family, within the Chester family, there is a separate folder for Edrie, since there are more photos of her. For photos that have a story, or a lot of people in them, there is a document with the same name as the photo where I can type that out. I have also sometimes saved two versions of the photo - the original scan, and a copy that has the people identified by typing in the edge in photoshop.
  2. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/layer-effects-styles.html At almost 7 minutes in, she explains how to do it. Briefly, you apply one style in the usual manner, by clicking on the style preset. Then, hold shift down, and drag and drop the second layer style you want to use onto that layer in the layers panel or even directly onto the object on your layout. Thanks for asking this question - I'd tried to figure this out for myself over a year ago, and gave up. No Google search yielded what I wanted, so I just started adding shadows manually, which is the usual scenario where I wanted to have a second style applied. I'm excited to know how to do it in CC!
  3. That's gorgeous! Please show us again after you print and hang them!
  4. I don't have one now, but I remember having a very similar one as an older child. It's pretty cool!
  5. What a beautiful layout! It is the journaling that adds the WOW factor here. I Love, love, love everything about this layout! I will now never forget your grandma, by the way ❤️
  6. Such an adorable page for an adorable little guy!
  7. I'm reading this at the end of a very long day, so I might be misunderstanding something, but you say the poster is 11x 8. It should fit on one 12 x 12 page, yet your photo above shows that it doesn't. I'm thinking perhaps those are 8 1/2 x 11 white pages underneath it, not 12 x 12. Which size is it that you scrapbook in? If 12 x 12, my inclination would be to use ONLY the poster on one 12 x12 background, centered. On the facing page, include either smaller photos of her during the season, or do a lot of journaling about how the season went and include some sports statistics of her team/her. If you are scrapbooking in 8 1/2 x 11 size, then I would definitely scan the poster and print it whatever size you want/need it to fit, and leave the original poster as-is to frame and put on the wall.

    Buddy Walking_600

Buddy is such a handsome boy! Beautiful page - I really like the quilted look at the bottom. Atlas begs us for walks on the weekends. During the week he knows he'll walk to school in the am and again in the afternoon, and that's usually enough. Weekends he bugs Jeff until he walks him, usually 3 times each day, lol. I seriously think he'd walk 8 hours a day if we'd do it!
  9. Gorgeous page! I love the blending and that you included the metro map on the page!
  10. This is wonderful - Teeheehee to the article name!
  11. Herons are majestic for sure! Gorgeous page, with the pops of color in the cluster, to the elegant neutral background.
  12. What an amazingly beautiful tribute to Jody! I love the addition of the Willow Tree sculpture as an embellishment, and Jody's lovely smiling face blended in. Such symbolism, with her friendship blended into your life as well. *hugs*
