My husband took this photo while on a fishing trip w/his father in BC. When I first saw the photo I just wanted to cry, I miss that scenery so much. I hope this page conveys my feelings. I used this page to really experience w/layering papers and blending modes. I used quite a few filters on the photo to get that dreamy effect hope it worked! So I made this LO in an 8x10 format and framed it as a gift for our friends (pictured). They invited us to the Keys w/them over the 4th of July to their condo for the week. We had such a great time. I never showed my work to other people other than the ScrapGirls, so I was very anxious. It was nice to see how much they appreciated & loved it. I wanted to use the map overlays that I bought but found that the FL Keys weren't on them....oops! So I got a map of the Keys from the internet and traced it in PS7, added it to the background and played w/the opacity levels. I really like how it turned out and plan on doing this again in the future. This is one of my favorite photos my dad took of my younger brother. I actually just printed it for my brother for his birthday last week which made me really want to put it in a layout. I've been dying to try the Sketchbook LO's and so decided to do so w/this photo. I got stuck though....I couldn't really tie in the title, it seems to stand alone. I tried adding embelishments but it just didn't fit right. So I did a little brush work and I'm not completely satisfied so any ideas would be appreciated.
