  1. Let's Go! April 30 Day Shredders!

    09 April 2013 - 07:11 AM

It's time for a new 30 day commitment, who's with me this month? We just joined the YMCA and I am looking forward to trying some new workouts.

The rules as compiled by a number of shredders:

You must exercise each day (6 days per week) of the 30 challenge for at least 20 minutes. You may use any DVDs you have on hand such as Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Chalean Extreme or you can do any activity you like. eg. walk, bike ride, swim or go to the gym.

You must post to the check in thread each day to get checked off and have your progress charted.

If you miss a day you can make it up on Sunday. Make up days can also be accomplished by doing a separate workout in a day. For example - "I did Zumba for 1 hour in the morning" = 1 workout and "I walked for 45 minutes in the evening" = 1 workout for a total of 2 workouts that day. Just let me (Carla) know what gaps you want me to fill for you.

Pretty simple, right? If you have any problems, questions, vents or muscle soreness to complain about, this is the place to do it! The support here is amazing!

Sign up below and we will get started Monday, April 15.
  2. March Shredders

    04 March 2013 - 08:54 PM

Somehow February flew by and I missed it, and that means we are one month closer to swimsuit season- ugh!

So, who is joining me for some March shredding? According to the calendar we are set to start Monday, March 11. I will be gone for a few days for Spring Break, but will catch the chart up when I get home.

Just sign up below and I will get a chart started.

  3. Newsletter 2/14

    14 February 2013 - 08:19 AM

There was a small error in the newsletter article today on strokes.

It says "If you find that you don't like something about your stroke, such as the width or location, just hit Ctrl+A to undo it, then start again with Edit> Stroke."

It should say to "hit Ctrl+Z to undo it" (PSE 10)

Also, something I left out is that after I am happy with how the stroke looks, I usually merge the layers or lock it with the object I put the stroke on. That way if I move it, they stay together.

So sorry about the editing mistake, I hope you enjoyed the article and learned some new tips from it!
  4. Scraplift Chat

    15 October 2012 - 07:00 AM

Come join Tiza and I for some scraplifting! We are so lucky to have such an inspiring gallery here at Scrapgirls, I know that whenever I am lacking any creativity that a stroll through the layouts posted here gets my creative juices flowing again!

For this chat/challenge we will be scraplifting a designer of your choice BUT it has to be the 8th layout on their page (it is our 8th anniversary after all!)

So, go to the Design Team Galleries, choose your designer and count to the 8th layout on their page, then use that as your source of inspiration. Do you like their color scheme, layout design, word art placement or maybe the whole thing works for you! Just be sure to credit the layout you are scraplifting when you post your creation in the 8th Anniversary Party Gallery.

If you have any questions, post them here or bring them to the chat with you.
    See you later this evening!
  5. Do Over Chat

    15 October 2012 - 06:23 AM

Come join Amy (mimes1) and I to talk about "Do Overs." We know everyone has those layouts that they wish they could do over, well in digi you can!! Post your original layout in the 8th Anniversary Party Gallery and label it something like "Do Over Before." Tell us a little bit about why you want to re do that layout so we can help each other during the chat with suggestions.

Can't wait to see you there!

Thanks for your kind comment, Mel, and I am so glad you mentioned the stitches! For some reason one stitch had "re-stitched" itself on top of the ribbon, so I was able to correct my sewing :-) Gremlins, I guess! Thanks again!

yes I was late and had to download, but these photos from my cousin's trip fit perfectly, I didn't need to change much so it was super quick... not my usual style as it is really colourful so I simplified it and kept the design pretty basic! And yes, it was super quick as I either scrap really quick or really slow... not much middle ground lol :-)

My mojo seems to come and go. I hope it stays with me now that it's back. Today is my late cat, Cissy's, birthday. She would have been 20 today. I miss her so much!
