Thanks for responding, I appreciate the suggestions.

Maybe I will be able to get back to playing tomorrow for a bit....

Thanks again,

Is it the curl with the button on it you are talking about? That one I believe is just placed where you want it and then adjust the opacity to your liking. Other than that one, I'm not sure how to help you.

If you need help organizing your files, you might take a look at the free "15 Things You Need to Know..." available in the boutique.

Yes, it is the one with the button. I'll try your suggestion. Perhaps I am making this harder than it needs to be.

OH!!!!!!!!!!! Now I get it! I am so sorry! Yes you have the demo version.

You can get the full version of PSPX at Purplus for $18.95. This is the version I have. You can also get PSPXi for $29.95.

Okay, I purchased the Scrapbook Secrets, and so far so good. I will get the full version of PSPXI. Any suggestions on how to get a manual for this. It doesn't appear to come with one.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome, and helpful suggestions. There's just so much to think about with so many options available. I'm ready to jump in, and now have one more question.

I found this site because I found Heritage Makers. Can you upload completed layouts successfully into a project on Heritage Makers? Has anyone done this? I'm curious if I can play successfully in both worlds.

Thanks again everyone!!!!!

Oh yes! I love brushes, there just has not been written yet.

PSP is more like full PhotoShop and yes more scrappers do use PSE, but since you already HAVE PSP there is lots of info on using it to scrap with, there is really no need to spend more $$.

Just curious why you are thinking about upgrading to Xi? There is very little difference in X and Xi and not (in my mind) worth upgrading. In fact I did the 30 day trial and decided to stay with the what came on my Dell Desktop.

The PSP version I currently have is the studio version that Dell put on my computer when I bought it. I'll admit that I don't know much about it, but it doesn't appear to be able to do as much as the demo version of XI that I downloaded. Perhaps I don't need anything more, I just thought that the version that was preinstalled was a "sample" that didn't contain the whole thing. See - my green is really showing! I'll have to order the Secrets revealed videos, play around a bit, and see just what I really have. When I open up the information file on the PSP, it says version 1.01. Does that help?

I'm excited about the possibilities here, and I can't wait to start playing around.

Thanks,
Sheri

Welcome Sheri! If you have PSPX you really don't need to purchase another program. I would suggest Ro's Secrets for PSPX and posting your questions here on the board. We have a growing community of PSP users and I have a PSP tutorial in the Newsletter every other Tuesday.

We are here to help so ask us your questions as you go!

Oh and there is a Sale on so now would be a good time to get Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed: Paint Shop Pro (PSP) X

Does PSPXI work with the brushes? I see the brushes books on the site, but they appear to be for PSE or Photo Shop. I am anxious to make a decision and get started. It's just a bit overwhelming because I only have so much I can spend, and so much that I want to do - it doesn't always even out, in fact usually I want much more than I can spend...

Looks like the majority of the responses I got use PSE. Will one restrict me more than the other? These software packages are just so new to me. I have surfed the web trying to learn all I can to make this decision, but still feel so confused.

Thanks for your time!
Sheri
