What's Lifting? What's Ok

19 July 2007 - 06:11 PM

ok.....i'm trying to understand what is legal and correct etiquette for using these layouts from sg. if i buy a product and use it to make a scrap page that i give to a relative, is that illegal? do i have to acknowledge all the pieces i use on a greeting card (like a christmas card)? is all this acknowledgement stuff for just if i publish to the web for others to see? how about if i upload to web, so someone can print off a page? i'm just wanting to be sure i'm understanding what kosher and what's not. it seems a little confusing from the bits and pieces i've read on the message board so far. when and for what reasons is it necessary to buy the commercial license thingy? Hey, if this has been covered somewhere, just give me the link and i'll read...no need to reinvent the wheel!!!

18 July 2007 - 11:15 AM

So I've been getting the newsletter for about 2 weeks now.... i'm a newbie so most of the technics are way above the level i can handle. do i need to print out all these newsletter to save for another time. or is there a newletter and technic archive somewhere? Also i've missed the newbie chat the last two weeks (schedule conflict) is there a listing somewhere of the chats that can be accessed? :clapping_kitty:

Newbie From California

07 July 2007 - 12:15 PM

Hi....I'm a newbie digiscrapper from LA. I've been following this site for a couple of weeks now...and i'm really excited. this looks like a lot of fun. Here's a question that i've bet has been asked before, but i couldn't find it in any of the message boards i scanned. I've gotten the trial version of pse 5, but i don't see a tutorial movie to buy for it. what's the best tutorial to buy 4 that version of the software? I"m truely amazed at some of the layouts i'm seeing in the newsletter each day. i don't know if i'll ever get to the point that some of you have....but it's encouraging to see that it can be done. maybe with some time and practice, i'll start picking up how to put all this stuff together. looking forward to really using the resources of this site. i've tried putting together a couple of VERY simple pages, using only the resources that are in pse5. i haven't the foggest idea how to incorporate all the wonderful things that are available on this site......but sure y'all will help. looking forward to getting to know of some you better.. ttfn....Gail Brisco
