    Misha (1986-2006)

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... My Special Misha 1986-2006 Credits: Papers by Michaelle Walcutt (w/ special thanks to Atomic Cupcake!) Adopted!!!

I am a foster mom for these wonderful little beagles. Each time I bring one in and then find them a home, a little bit of my heart breaks because they are just so special. T-Squared is a beautiful baby boy beagle that had apparently been abandoned by the side of the road. If I did not already have two beagles of my own, T2 would have stayed here forever! He now has his forever home with a very loving and special gentleman and his other adopted beagle. Analogy

Journaling: I loved being pregnant. That first sign... that first little butterfly motion that told me that my child was real and not just a black and white messy blob on a thin sheet of paper. I was lucky, I never had morning sickness, but I sure had the heartburn. That was ok, though, because each time I swallowed a Tums, it reminded me that I just needed to be patient, because the real part was coming soon enough and that the little private moments with my child still in my womb were still very real. Four times I have been blessed with this honor, and three times I was even more blessed to see it to the end and hold my chuldren in my arms. They are growing now, soon to leave the house and have lives of their own. But, I will never forget their little butterfly kicks that turned into heartfelt stretches , rolls and tumbles as they yearned to leave their warm but confining home. As they prepare to leave now, I can’t help but see how it is really not that much different than when I was carrying them inside me. They stretch, roll and tumble, pushing on the walls that are confining them, but still hesitant to go much farther. I suppose, as each one leaves, it will feel like another little birth, complete with the labor pains and triumphant feeling of knowing that they are now ready for the world.
