This month’s ScrapGirls’ Club “Stories We Tell” by Syndee Nuckles is perfect for this prompt and really helped me with my page. I’m still having trouble focusing and with a new computer and upgraded operating system and PSE It’s sometimes frustrating finding my way and the going’s been slow on trying to create a layout.

The day I scrapped this page I had just come back from what I call my Physical Therapy “concussion walk”. When walking I often find I “walk, walk, walk” and “think, think, think” so that started my layout. I had my iPod in my ears and John Denver’s “Garden Song” was playing and I was relating to the lyrics “inch by inch” and the way a garden grows — very much the way people do!

For this layout I used :

John Denver is one of my all time favorites! I love your photo treatment and the sketchy effect on your photo. The lyrics worked into the pathway is wonderful. Great layout, and thanks for sharing your journey with us!

Another wonderful page...I would say you are becoming best buddies with your new computer and system. I love the pastel colors and your peaceful trial to getting well. A truly wonderful page.

Thanks debby - that's part of the beauty of Syndee's club. I was able to use it without having to figure out styles etc in my new program since I havent even found my shadows yet! Not a lot of layers either but it ended up looking like an Art Journaling page!

I wish I could have joined but it was 4:00 am my time. I absolutely adore this page! I love the soft beautiful colors, blending and wonderful garden song. Just lovely!

I love the repetition in the words and how it conveys the "just keep swimming (thanks Dory now I have that in my head!) mentality... You keep going not only in your walking and treatment but also in life- if you stop "walking" you just stop. The peaceful colours show us your reflection time and I love that healing heart.

What a lovely, thoughtful page describing your difficult journey! I like the way you fit the journaling into the path. The wonderful poem works well here, too. The sketched photo and background blending are gorgeous as well. This is a treasure.
