Journaling reads:

This year of 2022 has not been the best year for me but
a real positive highlight has been re-establishing contact
with my cousin Clara who lives in the Nursing Home right
next-door to me. Clara was the oldest of the grandchildren
in my cousins. She is 24 years older than me.
I took this photo on the 30th October. She is holding a photo
which I  discovered on one of my saved EHDs. The photo is of
our grandparents (Joe and Lucy Peardon) with their first 7
grandchildren so Clara is in the photo.
Clara seems to enjoy my visits. I take my Ipod and we sing two
hymns each visit.

That's so sweet that you two sing together. There's a lot of love there.  I love the messy edges and news print paper. Lovely journaling and special layout.

Such a touching page Ann Marie. Your cousin is very lucky to have you nearby to share memories with. Love the simplicity of your LO and the way you have picked out the main colours in your cousin's top.

What a special page and photo this is and you have scrapped such a sweet moment and event.  Your journaling is so touching and now nice for both of you to have this family connection.  I like the colors you used and how the pieces you used go across the page.  I think I see a family resemblance in your cousin and you from your photos.

What an amazing story of connection.  Great job pulling the colors and style of the pattern on her shirt to the embellishments on the page.

How lovely that you've been able to re-establish contact with Clara. I'm sure she enjoys your visits, too. I like how you've brought colors from the photo onto your page and left the top and bottom solid.

How wonderful that you live so close to one another and can visit and share memories. Your layout is very pretty and I love the colors reflecting your cousin's shirt.

Sadly there is not a lot of memories we share but I do try and talk about her early days as much as I know as we did not grow up close. Clara has dementia and can no longer walk after various strokes.

Oh, that is difficult. The loss of memory is a devastating situation for all involved. I am sure she still appreciates the visits.
