Weekend Wildcard Challenge 12/17: Christmas Story
Journaling: Growing up at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, we were prepared and looked forward to the annual Christmas play. Grammie would buy us special long nightgowns and warm bathrobes, as that was the standard costume for angels and shepherds - which we always were. No lines to remember, just come out on our cue. But it was exciting. Once I got old enough I even got to read a passage from The book of Matthew! A special time for sure. Tinsel halos. Pajamas in church. Grandpa joined us. The church was decorated extra special with the advent wreath on the altar with all for candles lit. The overwhelming feelings of love, joy, and happiness is what Christmas is about!
