Weekend Challenge 2/11/23: Crafts - Crochet Hats

I had such fun making these hats and love seeing them still being worn.  It's amazing how the kids all look the same once the hat is on. but there's actually nine different ones here!   The green one over the "C" is actually an adult one I made my sister!
In PSE I used "Select>Subject" along with my iPhone for extractions and iPhone photos actually does a better job. If you press on a photo a box will come up "Save" or "Share"; I normally share it to my laptop and then use it.
Journaling reads:
"In the Winter of 2021 I was crocheting more to keep busy during Covid quarantine. I found directions for a cute bear and then snowman hat on Pinterest and made one each for the little guy, top right who lives in Chicago. My sister asked me to make them for a friend’s little boy and so it began. Some of the photos on this page are of the same children different years - their hats still fit! The first bear hat I ever made was worn this year by the little guy’s baby sister and he got a new one - that’s them in the stroller while their little cousin wears a blue hat right above them. This past Fall the Chicago guy turned two and developed a passion for hats - particularly his bear one. It was hilarious on Face Time or in photos seeing him wearing his bear hat - no matter where he was or what he was doing. Sometimes it was sideways or crooked but he looked adorable any way!"
For this layout I used:
SNU SS Styles: SHadow Me
CAP Winter Magic Collection
BMU SS Background Blenders
ABR Capturing Christmas Collection
KVE SS Styles: Shadow Me
SPE Yarn Stash Paper Spec.

Oh my goodness, that is a lot of crocheting! Those bear hats are so adorable. Those kids are so cute as well. I love how you did extractions of all of them - that must have taken a lot of time!

Oh! My! Goodness! Where to start. First those hats are so cute! And they look adorable on all the children. 😊 You were Busy during covid! What a wonderful gift to give and receive. How special to have a photo of each recipient wearing their hat. Then extracting each one so seamlessly must have been time consuming. Your page is so heartwarming and put a smile on my face. Cool font btw.

No!   @ladyscrapalot and @Celestine

If you have an iPhone and did the latest update, all you do is press your finger on the photo and it extracts the subject for you, it's almost seamless and even better and smoother than "Select>Subject " in PSE which I also used here.  If you press on a photo a box will come up "Save" or "Share"; I normally share it to my laptop and then use it.  So easy!

Wow - those hats are sooooo cute! Great extractions, thanks for explaining how you did them. I especially like the baby on the top left corner who looks like he's pushing the stroller!
