In August we had  two full moons with one of them being a Super Blue moon. The Sturgeon Moon occurred on August 1. We went down to the OC Lagoon and waited for the moon to come up. We were in sorta of a low spot with the moon going to be rising over a ridge. It wasn't very good picture taking as we could not get the moon until it was quite a ways above the horizon and did not look very large and some trees were in the way. We spent a couple of hours there waiting for the moon to rise and then took a lot of pictures.  Did get a few interesting shots. a low spot with the moon going to be rising over a ridge. On August 30 there a Super Blue Moon. The term Blue Moon is most commonly used when we have two Full Moons in a single month. A Super Moon happens when a Full Moon happens at or near its closet point to Earth in it' orbit. A Super Blue Moon happens roughly every 10-20 years. The next one will be in 14 years in 2037.
We set out to see if we could get some pictures. We went up the hill from where we live to a park. It was better than being in a hole, but there were houses and large trees surrounding the park. There were also clouds in the night sky. Still I was pleased with the pictures we got.

Oh, my gosh - it sure looks like that "new" camera is awesome and you are used to it and using it magnificently!    Your photos are really awesome and I love the templates you used, they are perfect for this double pager.  So nice to see the photographer, too!

Great job on the shaped text! You are showing constant new skills! Are these all from a class you are taking, Lynne? Lovely blended botanicals in the background and I adore the way the leaves and clouds are superimposed on the sky/moon. So, so creative!

The shaped text was from Marlene's template. The leaves and the clouds on the moon were real on the moon when I took the pictures. The spill frames just accentuated the effect. The blended background botanicals are from tut using blend modes from LAD. I just love Marlene's templates, she is so creative!

I just noticed this. What amazing photos you captured! It looks like you could just reach out and touch the moon.
I love that you chose a pastel background for the night time photos and blended those lovely flowers into it. It all contrasts beautifully with the night photos.

What an awesome layout showing these Full Moon events. Your color choice and blending allows your photos to stand out. I feel as I could have seen this live looking at your  page.
