cherry blossoms

This might be a stretch but here goes: We have the tradition of the cherry blossom festival in D.C. because, according to the National Park Service, "The planting of cherry trees in Washington DC originated in 1912 as a gift of friendship to the People of the United States from the People of Japan." We love going into Washington to look at the cherry blossoms, even despite having to deal with the crazy crowds.

Those are simply gorgeous. I've been to DC a few times, but never when the cherry trees were blooming. I love the cheerful pastel tones and the way you divided the page. Thanks for joining the challenge.

Sounds like a historical tradition to me and it sure is a beautiful one.   Your photos are so beautiful and I Like the soft pink background and darker color you used.   This is such a lovely page.

This is stunningly beautiful! One of my7 favourite sights is pink blossom against a clear blue sky. thank you for brightening my dull november morning.

Your photos are gorgeous! I've been to DC just as the blooms were waning but never saw them in their glory. I love the pale pink background to your pages along with the brighter pink. They look terrific with the spring sky.
