White out challenge

I guess this is technically only legal if you count black a shade of white, but I was stymied about how to do the page so this is what I came up with.

Products:
Grace Collection (Brandy Murry)
ScrapSimple Tools - Styles: Artful Canvas 6401 (Amanda Fraijo-Tobin)
ScrapSimple Tools Drop Shadows Style (Susie Roberts)

Sometimes it is really helpful to be taken out of our comfort zone (art journaling often does that to me), and then there is such a sense of accomplishment. On being stymied how to accommodate the word art and botanical brush, maybe clipping a bright white page to them, and then defining them with a narrow and sharp shadow would have taken you into "white." However, your page is lovely just as it is. Is that a tiny turtle on the leaf? Such an adorable image! I like the way you stacked the border on the left as well. Thanks for joining the White Out challenge!

Well, there. Never crossed my mind to do something like that! Thank you.

Yes, she found a baby turtle on her walk. But I just knew there was no way to write about it on white. I'll keep the photo for another page at some point, because I do enjoy Eleanor's fascination with nature.

She's lovely for sure. :)  I love how sweetly she's admiring the little turtle. Your page is lovely as well. I especially like the brush behind the photo.

What a lovely photo. I love the black stamp and the title work. Beautiful border. Very pretty layout.
